Homework in the *summer*?

Canterwood Crest is serious about academics. I haven't been able to blog because I've been swamped with homework! I'm used to summer reading assignments from Yates, but Canterwood teachers give pre-class homework in almost every subject. The second I signed up for classes, I got e-mails with assignments to complete (with due dates!) all summer.

And I thought Yates' summer reading had been time consuming . . .

Anyone else have school work over break?

  1. I have school work, too! I have to do a math packet, read 3 books, do a report on one and answer questions on another.

  3. My school does not have any summer homework (as I am only entering sixth grade) but I'd rather have work from school, becasue public school-REALLY not trying to boast!!!!-is kind of easy for me. However, seventh grade workbooks and AMC 8 (basically Math Olympiad) are NOT. I know what you feel, Lauren!

  4. poor Lauren! All I have for my summer homework is to read a book for Honors English and write an essay on it... however I'm totally stumped for how to write the beginning of the essay. But I'm trying to be like you and not put it off until the last minute! :)

  14. I know what you mean, Lauren. I have to read two books (one of which is like over 500 pages long), get 500 points on a math website, and complete a math packet. This is supposed to be summer!
