Back to school shopping

I can't believe I'm leaving Union on Saturday! This Saturday. For Canterwoood. OMD!

I still have a million things to do!! Right now, I'm doing last minute school supply shopping online at Staples. They have a very cool offer--a $15 gift card for $8! Here's the link, in case you want it. The offer expires in seven hours, so hurry. :) I forgot to order notebook paper--hello, a main staple for school.

Anyone else like back to school shopping? I love it. It's fun to get new supplies for the year! Most of my supplies are black, sky blue and silver. I tried to color-coordinate everything. I found awesome stuff at Target, PBT, Office Max and, now, Staples. I might have gone a teensy bit overboard . . . Mom said I didn't need 50 number #2 pencils, but what if they break? Or some get lost? I bet I'll be taking lots of tests at Canterwood, so I feel much better having extra pencils, LOL.

Besides school shopping, I have to bathe Whisper, double check that she has all of her supplies, finish packing and find a way to have one last sleepover with Ana and Brielle. Plus, I want to say 'bye to Tay. Thinking about it makes me kind of sad. Okay, really sad. I know it's a mutual break up, but he was my first boyfriend. I miss him and we still live in the same town. I can't imagine what it'll feel like to live in separate towns. Ahhh . . . can't even go there right now.

Back to shopping! What're you buying for school? I want to know!

  2. Ohmygoodness, Lauren! I'm so excited for you and I can't wait to hear all about your adventures at Canterwood. My school (HIGH SCHOOL!) started a few weeks ago, and my school supplies are pretty artsy, not matching but not clashing. But my FAVE part of school shopping are the clothes. I love this British company called JohnnieB, it's so unique. Nordstrom is great too--you know you're always on trend when you wear their clothing. I love BTS because you can totally reinvent your look, especially when you go to a new school like I am. And you'll be in two days. Good luck, Lauren!

  5. haha I got a deep blue v-neck & white sweatshirt from Abercrombie and a cute sweater from Little Miss Matched(in Disney while I was there.)

For supplies I got two pencil cases; both similar but not quite the same: both are an awesome jelly-ish plastic rubber thing with stripes, one going horizontal and one going vertically. The there are pencils, markers, cool highlighters (Sharpie) Sharpies, erasable colored pencils, crayons, and a notebook that has notebook written several times in different sized & shaped letters. My book-bag is mainly gray and purple. I LOVE it cause it's plaid && SUPER cute. :) And it has a lot of pockets. ;D

That's it so far for NEW stuff. BTW, I'm going into sixth grade.

  9. Can't wait for our last sleepy!! Though it makes me sad... no texting under the desks in class, no gossip at the stable...but we'll see you supersoon!! Maybe I'll apply to Canterwood next year..... :)

And things will be alright with Tay. He feels the same way you do and you guys will keep texting and iChatting. He's your FRIEND, Laur. Just because you're leaving for CCA doesn't mean you'll never see or talk to him again. ;)

I'm gonna ride my bike over in a minute, is that ok? We can finish your shopping and swing over to Bri's before heading to the stable. :)

  10. Back-to-school shopping is so exciting! I can't believe it's September already. I'm really excited but I don't want summer to end. I like the color combination you picked out a lot, btw.

Our school has a uniform, but I went to dealia's and got new skinny jeans and a gray crop shirt (with a horse on it!) for dress down day and school dances.

As far as cool school supplies, I got a new backpack that's black, gray, and pink and it is so pretty! I also got a light blue binder and printed tie-dye duck tape to decorate it with.

Good luck at Canterwood, Lauren, and good luck to everyone on their first day!
